Grey-bellied cuckoo male

A very common cuckoo found throughout Karnataka but I am so unfortunate not to find it very frequently. I mean I would have got more records what I have so far. Anyways it is a beautiful greyish Male bird with red eyes mostly found in hilly jungles or lake area, because they mostly find caterpillars from there. Mostly found or identified by their distinct and loud twitters around the habitat.

I found this individual in Varthur lake area in a casual morning while going after Red-throated pipit. It took a caterpillar and had the breakfast. Don’t bother about the camouflage because they don’t have such and they sit in clean perch most of the time. I saw it in few other lake area and Bannerghatta area and found every time sitting on a open area.
