Rufous-tailed lark
Tungabhadra canal side, Hampi, Karnataka
I like this bird because of its rufous colour and steady get up. I knew it can be found in Hampi. So when I went there I wished I could see the bird. But the priority was not too much. So did not crate any brain fever. Another thing is it’s not that, this bird can be found in some particular place where if you go you will find it for sure. So at the end of the day after massive birding when we were returning via canal side road, we found it chirping on a rocky mount.

Light was very low and camera battery was almost drained. But we can’t miss the bird right? Pampayya sir told go get the bird what you are searching for. It allowed us to go nearby and take some pictures. All of a sudden it started chirping, probably calling his partner, then after few minutes it flew away. I was happy to see this bird.
