Owl is always being my one of the favourite birds, and when it comes to something exclusive like Mottled wood owl, I feel it is satisfaction to our eye to address one. Being in Bengal, I never come across this one as but now a days it can be found in Purulia, Bankura districts in WB.

This immature Mottled owl shot has been taken in Bengaluru. The day we got information about this species, we got ourselves ready to move to the next day. Even though there were 4 among those 1 was adult and 3 were immature. The owl was pretty cute and fluffy. Sitting on a branch absolutely hiding itself. It was so difficult to find it out even though there were not enough branches, but it was incredible how they camouflage themselves. If it would not move, we could not be able to see that. It was basically sleeping in the early morning and it took around 3 more hours for it to wake up and move it's head or blink eyes. And it took another 2 hours to move a bit and show up itself scratching and pinning its body parts. Sometimes it was posing unusually and it looked so cute and funny.
