Oriental honey buzzard

Dark morph of Oriental honey buzzard is pretty common in Bandipur and it looks so elegant. It is a big size raptor and can be found with several morphs in India. Not too much shy like White-eyed buzzard but it always try to sit on clean perch or above the tree.
Muthanallur Lake, Karnataka
Light morph of Honey buzzard is very much fascination and watch worthy to witness. I found it in Muthanallur Lake in Bangalore. It was pretty big and was sitting and preening on a clean branch of a tree for long time. It had crest like Changeable hawk eagle so initially I got confused then corrected the ID.
Byatarayana Doddi Kere, Karnataka
These two I have got in Byatarayana Doddi Kere where OHB is very frequent. Around 3/4 morph can be seen in this area. If you notice the morph of the first one is pretty grayish with whitish head and black eye. Second has different wing pattern and colour. Honey buzzard flies very slow and round keeping face down searching for pray. But the signature hunt for honey buzzard is to search for honeycomb on the tree. I wish someday I will get the signature one.
