White-rumped shama

This Shama is another gem of Muthyala Maduvu. People who visit there they get it for sure even people know the exact area where it belongs. But 70% of the time it remains on the ground inside clutters foraging arthropods from the ground. The one remain all the time in that forest is an adult male with beautiful plumage. 30% time it comes in open perch and that becomes enough for a photographer or bird watcher to take photographs. This Shama is very very famous for its beautiful long and loud call. When it does you would like to watch it because it twitter some many tones at a time. It sometimes mocks on other birds. Most beautiful part of this bird is its long tail with white rump. When it calls or sit on a clear perch, it erects its tail continuously.

This is a female with dull plumage, it came this year for mating. It continuously collected nesting materials. Along with its male, it also fly here and there inside a small radius and giving striking poses.
