Yellow-throated bulbul
Matanga Hill, Hampi, Karnataka
This is an endemic species of Hampi Karnataka. When someone go to Hampi first time for birding they definitely target this species and you won't believe the habitat is so specific of this bird. 99% It can be found in Matanga Hill, Hampi ruins throughout the year. I was so damn excited to watch this bird eventhought it is a bulbul. After we finish watching sunrise we started climbing down through the hill step and was expecting for this bird. First I thought it is so difficult to get this bird then I found out it is not at all hard to get it and it is not rare in that area. Even though our guide told it can be found throughout the year still I will say in March you must find it.

I started taking pictures from the clutter as I thought i should not miss any single chance but then our guide calm me down and said to go to a particular area where this bird comes for water. It was behind a big rock beside the temple where people generally don't go. I understood they maintain it to make a common habitat pouring water inside a rock bowl. Also I noticed there was a tree full of fruits and this bird came there for that fruit. It came multiple times and gave us ample amount of shots. It was a very steady medium size bulbul though with an amazing contrasting of Yellow. White and Brown plumage. It has red eyes. I was so happy to watch it in front.
