More Information: Hope you guys know about monsoon trek in Pune and the adjacent states. Year long people wait for monsoon and once it arrives, they take raincoat and start their bikes. So where are they going? There are uncountable destinations like Lonavala, Mahabaleshwar, Lohagad, Tamhini ghat, Shrivardhan, Khandala and many more. Every single destination has its own breathtaking beauty in monsoon. So where are we going today? And why we are going exactly? Let’s flash it.

Hey guys welcome to my another vlog. So today in this video we are going to take you to the valley of flowers in Maharashtra. Are you surprised ? Don’t be. Can you guess the name? It’s Kaas which is a part of Satara. Adjacent district of Pune.

Satara has an amazing hill station named Kaas and the name Satar is derived by the saat-tara means seven forts. Remember, I said amazing. Let me describe the beauty in my way. Once you reach to this hill station in monsoon, you will be amazed to see the greenery around. You will see breathtaking beauty of the valley with lots of cloud which passes though. Sometimes it will be difficult for you to drive. So be careful and slow down while driving. When it rains it doesn’t feel to stop. And if you love raining, this is the ideal place for you to visit. So consider yourself to enjoy under the rain only. You must carry raincoat as umbrella is not that recommended. Sometimes heavy breeze will take your umbrella out of your hand. You must wear fully covered shoe to get rid of leeches and mud. Why mud? Because very often you need to drag yourself to the valley to take photographs and enjoy the surrounding beauty. Sometimes you will find cloud burst from far and it looks amazing. And the virgin beauty of nature will make you feel that you are no longer to be a part of India. May be my statement is a bit typical but what I meant is, having being habituated with crowd and materialistic environment, we barely come across beautiful landscape. And Kaas will give you something out of the box. Believe me or not it’s your choice but it does the same. I am requesting you to visit once to Satara.

Remember you need to take ticket of 100 rs for visiting Kaas valley to see the actual valley of flowers. In the middle of September to middle of October it blooms the most and the entire valley looks mesmerising.

Ok so talking about the stay in Kaas, you will find ample number of resort and cottages along with attached restaurants. All are so beautiful with magnificent locations that you will get confused which one to choose. But I won’t recommend any specific one, you can go check and choose by yourself. That’s better right. See what we generally do, suggest people the one we have visited. But you never know what speciality there inside the other resorts right? We have eaten food from Heritage Wadi which is pretty well known food joint in Kaas. Yes the food was good and you can try it. Ask them what is special there, then choose what to order. But special mutton thali which contains Sukha curry, soul curry with bhakri roti and raita is very famous combination. Don’t miss Kandi pedha which is very famous in Satara. You will get it on the Satara market not in hill station.

What I feel is Kaas is a place where you have to spend 2 days one night. Or else it will be incomplete. You can plan such a way, on the first day you can visit local valleys along with Ghatai devi temple, take time to enjoy every halt and breathe across the greenery. On the next day go to Kaas lake, Vajrai waterfall, Kanher dam, Bamnoli village and Shivsagar Lake. On the way nearby Kaas lake you may find heavy traffic and broken road. I personally feel, if you visit the place post monsoon or pre winter, then also you will get another mesmerising view under the blue sky. Kaas is famous for its sunset. But don’t expect it in this season.

In the end I would like to say, it is actually a valley of flowers. Due to weather conditions we may not be able to take photos much of those but these are the few sample I have collected. And we have come across many of these.

Well you can understand there is no public transport available so you need to take your private car. From Bangalore Mumbai highway you need to take diversion for Satara road. Keep documents of your car with you because while entering to the hill security may check. Few mobile network doesn’t work much on the hill, so it’s better to carry some liquid cash.

Also you can visit the website for more information about Kaas https://www.kas.ind.in/ and for booking the flower valley visit https://www.kas.ind.in/booking.php

Note: Kaas is something absolutely nature oriented and something which can't be described by photos, this is something you have to go and experience by your own eyes.
