How to go:	There are many ways to reach Mahishadal. Way 1 Sealdah to Diamond Harbour railway station by local train > Diamond Harbour railway station to Diamond Harbour ferry ghat by Van > Diamond Harbour ferry ghat to Kukrahati ferry ghat (crossing the river) by motor boat > Kukrahati ferry ghat to Chaitanyapur bus stop by Toto/Tracker/ bus > Chaitanyapur bus stop to Mahishadal bus stop by bus > Mahishadal bus stop to destination by toto or tracker. Way 2 Howrah to Bagnan by any local train > Bagnan to Gadiara by bus > Gadiara to Geokhali crossing the river by ferry > Geokhali to Mahishadal by bus/ Tracker . Way 3 Howrah to Mecheda by local train > Mecheda to Kapasera bus stop via Nandakumar by super fast bus (Mecheda to Haldia) through NH41 > Kapasera to Mahishadal by Magic van or hired toto. I have taken this root and this is one of the best root due to the communication and availability of transport. Way 4 Howrah to Mahishadal local train (very few are there) > Mahishadal to Rajbari by tracker or toto. (most convenient way I feel.)

More Information:	You can visit this place anytime in a year. But it will be good if you avoid to go there in a holiday, there will be a chance to explore the place in details and getting more information. Talking about Mahishadal rajbari, entry fee is 10 rs and visiting time is 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. You can explore only ground floor. There are one drawing room with full details of family and antique stuffs they use, one weapons room, one library, one bedroom, one room full with hunting stuffs that's all. Archaeologically the Raj palace is very beautiful. Worst part of the Raj palace is lack of toilet facilities inside the palace, even if it is there, you will find it very non-hygienic. I must say, the landscape of the village area is just amazing, This trip will be memorable for the one who carry camera and love nature. If you are going to visit Rath Yatra, this will take you to another level of excitement. Rath Yatra ground is around 2 km away from the rajbari and the road goes through the market place.During Rath Yatra the market place remains full of crowd, various shops, making announcements with full of joy, making religious slogan here and there, many volunteers from Bharat Sheba Shangha helping people to maintain peace and many more. The difference between many Rath Yatra with this one is, here inside the Rath, Gopal ji is being placed and worshipped. He is really so beautiful, you got to see him once. One custom of rajbari that they are following till now is, one of the senior family member who is holding the power is being carried by Palki from Rath Yatra ground to rajbari after few rituals are being done during Rath Yatra. This time it is Hara Prashad Garga who is being carried by Palki. Suggestion Before going to this occasion get to know the timing of Rath Yatra. Carry umbrella due to the sudden rain. You may not be getting shades here and there.
